Healthy Cooking & Nutrition Course in Full Swing at Andrew Avenue

Hands on cooking lessons and nutrition education is taught by Nutritionist Nichole Theriault of Brass City Harvest at Andrew Avenue. Classes for students in grades 2, 3 and 4 are held two days each week at our school through Dec. 18. Topics include my plate, farm to table, dairy, whole grains, protein and a visit from the Mobile Farmers Market.This course is being funded by a grant made possible through the Elisha Leavenworth Foundation, Naugatuck Discovery and in partnership with Brass City Harvest.
