Our next PTO meeting will be Wednesday, May 2nd at 6:30 pm.

TOWN WIDE WALK DAY AND WELLNESS FAIR:  CHANGE IN LOCATION DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER!  Join Naugatuck Partnership for Children, Sodexo Nutrition Services, Naugatuck Youth Services and the Borough of Naugatuck at our 5th Annual Town Wide National Walk Day and Wellness Fair, TOMORROW, Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1-3 pm at the Naugatuck Event Center, 6 Rubber Avenue.  Rain or Shine.  There will be music, healthy snacks, information about services available to all residents, nutrition information, preschool provider info, counseling services, local gyms and much more!  The cost of the event is free, but we are asking families to please bring non-perishable food items as a donation.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR:  We will be having our Scholastic Book Fair the week of April 23-27th.  Volunteers will be needed to help our students shop. Please email if you can help.  Set up will be Monday after school, shopping will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, with Family Bingo on Thursday night.

YMCA OFFERING AUTISM MUSIC THERAPY NIGHT:  See attached information about a free autism music therapy night on May 7th.  Free music therapy trial.pdf 

BIG Y EDUCATION EXPRESS:  Andrew Avenue School will be participating in Big Y’s Education Express program again this year.  Education Express is a Family Program to help schools get FREE, much needed supplies & equipment!  

• Everyone can participate! Do you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or even neighbors? You can support Andrew Avenue School by signing up for Education Express on the Big Y website:

• And from February 1 through April 25, 2018, for every 500 Education Express Points earned, you get a GOLD COIN!

• Just shop at Big Y stores and look for the participating items marked with the Education Express logo. Each item will have a point value and savings on top of that!

• Big Y Education Express programs have given local schools approximately $14 Million Dollars of much-needed supplies and equipment.

STOP & SHOP A+ PROGRAM:  Once again this year, Andrew Avenue School will be participating in the Stop & Shop A+ program that runs from October 6, 2017 through March 15, 2018.  This is an easy way to help our school earn CASH each time family members and friends shop at any Stop & Shop store. To participate, visit and select Savings & Rewards.  Follow the prompts to create your online account.  You’ll need your 13-digit Stop & Shop card number and our school ID #, which is 08688.  Each time your use your Stop & Shop card, our school will earn CASH for such things as field trips, assemblies and family events.  Thank you for your support!

  • Our next PTO meeting will be Wednesday, May 2nd at 6:30 pm.  

  • We have decided to stop participating in the ink cartridge recycling program.  Please do NOT send them into school any more. Thank you!

  • We are collecting caps and lids from all Coca Cola products - (including POWERADE and 12 packs of cans of soda)  please send them in to the office for us to redeem for funds for field trips, assemblies and other programs for our school.  

  • The PTO Student Store will be open for business at arrival time (8:40-8:55 am) every Wednesday morning.  Students can purchase pens, pencils, erasers and other novelty items for $.25 to $2.00.
